When styling a table (or room, or event or anything for that matter) I love to have a single element or piece that forms the core of the inspiration. It’s a great way to keep on track as lets be honest when it comes to styling it’s easy to get caught up in too many good ideas and try to include one of everything. We started with these adorable bunny plates from West Elm and took a not-so-traditional spin on our Easter table. You’ll see that the colour palette of brown, black and green has been drawn from the bunnies features, and that all the tableware then ties back to this. By having that central piece it allows you to look at any element that you bring to the table and ask yourself how it ties in or pays homage to that focal piece. We’re not saying that you have to get all matchy matchy, but look at how each element ties back to the bunny plate, the placemats, the coasters and green glassware, the animal print bowls and the speckled eggs. And of course in true Dunne with Style fashion there are a few DIY elements to our Easter table, I’ll be sharing how we created our mini nests and planted out eggs over the next few weeks too. Until then, grab a bag of speckled eggs and join our Easter table….
